Glenview, IL – North Shore Films, LLC announced today that its feature length documentary, Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football will make its world premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

The film, produced in association with Quraishi Productions, will be screened on the following dates and times at Treasure Mountain Inn.

Saturday, January 22nd @ 8:45 PM – Gallery Screening Room
Monday, January 24th @ 12:00 PM – Main Screening Room

'Fordson' is a feature length documentary film that follows four talented high school football players from Dearborn Michigan during the last ten days of the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan.

The film begins on September 11, 2009 and is set against the backdrop of the stunningly beautiful Fordson High School, which was once all white, but now boasts a 98% Arab population. As the team readies itself to play its affluent, cross town rival, the film unearths the adversity faced by a community that is desperately holding onto its Islamic faith while struggling to gain acceptance in post 9-11 America.

Through the eyes of the team, its coaches, and its fans, viewers will get an unprecedented glimpse inside the lives of a community that is home to the largest concentration of Arabs in any city outside of the Middle East, and its determination to hold on to the American Dream.

"We are honored that 'Fordson' was selected to make its World Premiere at Slamdance," said Rashid Ghazi, Director. "This community's story is truly inspirational, and one that I know will move audiences of all ethnicities and religions. We were fortunate to have such candid access to this fascinating group of people who shared their deepest feelings about what it is to be Arab and Muslim in America today."

North Shore Films is in the process of meeting with potential distributors of the film. If interested in learning more about Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football please contact:
