Rashid Ghazi Director/Executive Producer

Rashid Ghazi founded North Shore Films to produce Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football-- a story which he began developing in 2003 with the basic belief that his fellow Americans were interested in what real-life American Muslims were really like. A lifelong football fan himself, Ghazi felt the story of the Fordson High School football team would make the kind of heart-warming, entertaining film that all Americans could relate to, while giving people a chance to learn more about the values, aspirations and opinions of Arab- American Muslims.


Ash-har Quraishi Producer

Ash-har Quraishi is an Emmy Award-winning television journalist, writer, photographer and filmmaker with more than a decade of international, investigative, long-form reporting and production experience. He is currently a Correspondent for WTTW (PBS Chicago) where he reports for their flagship nightly news magazine show Chicago Tonight. His reporting and photography has been featured on CNN, The New York Times, The PBS NewsHour, A&E and The Oprah Winfrey Show.


Basma Babar-Quraishi Producer

Basma Babar-Quraishi is an award-winning, long-form, documentary, and breaking news producer.

Babar-Quraishi is the co-founder of Quraishi Productions, LLC, a production company she started with her producing partner and husband, Ash-har Quraishi. Together, they co-produced Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football. Along with producing the film, Babar-Quraishi wrote segments of the film and coordinated production.

Ed Pickart has edited literally thousands of hours of programming, including A&E's Biography, Nickelodeon's Curious Buddies, ESPN's Backstage with Suzy Kolber, MOJO'S Fields of Glory andHardwood Heavens, and most recently the Emmy-nominated web series FilmFellas.


Ruth Leitman Writer

Leitman has directed six feature length non-fiction films as well as several music videos, PSAs since she graduated with a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her films focus on women and those whose lives have faced a lack of opportunity, but who are survivors. Leitman's work has addressed many social issues head on, including: teen sexuality, adults with disabilities, mental health issues, and childhood sexual abuse. Leitman's films give voice to many whose voice has often been silenced.


Michael Shamus Director of Photography

Michael Shamus began capturing stories on camera in Detroit in the mid 1980's. After graduating from Central Michigan University he went to work for CNN's Detroit bureau. As a young photographer for CNN he covered everything from chasing fire trucks to flying on the White House Press Charter. Michael learned about Detroit's people, communities, industries, struggles and triumphs. With the camera, he helped tell their stories.


Mark Berg 2nd Unit Director of Photography

Mark Berg is an Emmy award winning, highly experienced Director of Photography and camera operator who began his career 26 years ago as a news photographer for the CBS affiliate in Duluth, MN. Berg has worked on staff at three additional television news stations where his photography earned top honors from the Michigan and Ohio Association of Broadcasters.


Joel Goodman Music Composer

Acclaimed by The Hollywood Reporter as an "Indie Composer to Watch," Joel Goodman is a multi-talented, award-winning composer. He has scored over 100 films and television shows for an impressive array of distinguished directors and producers, including Wong Kar-wei, Barbara Kopple, Albert Maysles, Barak Goodman, Kevin Spacey, Irene Taylor Brodsky, Andrew Jarecki, Mark Zwonitzer, Marshall Curry, Oren Jacoby and Michael Epstein. Of these films 4 have received Oscar nominations and dozens of Emmy Awards.
